News: Advance ticket sales open for 2016!

Published 18 March 2016, 16:07

Discounted tickets offering early entry to the Great Electric Train Show are on sale now offering a saving of £5 on buying tickets on the day. The event on October 8/9 is in its fourth year and will see more than 25 layouts and 30+ traders gather at the newly relaunched British Motor Museum in Warwickshire.

New to the line-up are Soar Valley Model Railway Club’s stunning 50ft long ‘O’ gauge layout The Charnwood Forest Branch (HM99/HM100), Tom Couling’s evocative Yorkshire-set Poole-in-Wharfedale in ‘OO’ (HM104) and Brian Woolrich’s recently completed Great Western Railway through station Durston – see feature on pages 52-59.
These three layouts join the first six announced in HM105. These are Old Elms Road (HM105), Maxwell Colliery (HM105), Dentdale (HM95), Haymarket Cross (HM59), Goathland (HM99) and Hornby Magazine’s St Stephens Road. Further layouts will be revealed in forthcoming issues of Hornby Magazine as the show gets closer.
Advance ticket can be purchased on the Great Electric Train Show website or by telephone on 01780 480404. Advance ticket holders can gain entry to the show 30 minutes earlier at 9.30am whilst retaining the benefit of full access to the British Motor Museum and use of the free courtesy bus which will be operated from Leamington Spa railway station on the Saturday only.
