Features: Leicester (Belgrave Rd), Eastern, 1950s

Published 15 September 2017, 10:37

Loosely based on the former Great Northern location in Leicester during the 1960s, Abingdon and District Model Railway Club's extensive 26ft x 10ft 6in 'OO' gauge layout represents a busy terminus during the 1960s with plenty of passenger, parcels and freight traffic.

Summertime excursions to/from Skegness and Mablethorpe provide extra traffic, while the extensive goods yard and carriage sidings ensure there is always something on the move to keep you entertained.

Leicester (Belgrave Road) is featured in the July 2017 (HM121) issue of Hornby Magazine.
