Features: Oakley Green, BR (WR/SR), 1970s

Published 15 May 2018, 16:19

Owned and operated by Jamie Mathlin, this superb 'OO' gauge layout is mainly based around BR Southern Region practice and includes a diesel depot amongst its many features.

Parcels and oil traffic keep the area busy, together with plenty of light engine moves to and from the diesel maintenance depot.

Classic Southern locations including Basingstoke, Micheldever and Eastleigh, provided the inspiration for Oakley Green. In addition, the depot also maintains a small fleet of Western Region diesel locomotives too.

Oakley Green appeared in HM104.
