Features: Ladeside Diesel Depot, BR (ScR), 1960s

Published 15 May 2018, 15:17

Based on the former steam shed at Ardrossan, Ladeside diesel depot is set on British Rail's Scottish Region in the 1960s and incorporates a two-road maintenance building and fuelling road, together with a railway related engineering works, warehouse and loading bay.

Operated by Digital Command Control (DCC), the 'O' gauge locomotive fleet is mainly Heljan, with some kitbuilt examples too. All have been fitted with digital sound, while closer inspection of the buildings will reveal interior lighting throughout, highlighting the level of detail on this outstanding exhibition layout.

Ladeside diesel depot appeared in HM65.
