Features: Loudwater, BR (WR), 1960s

Loudwater is modelled on a station on the former High Wycombe to Maidenhead line and was the first stop after leaving High Wycombe. The line was truncated in 1970 leaving only the Maidenhead to Bourne End section in use.
The layout is modelled in the mid 1950s to early 1960s period and depicts an era when the line was frequently used as a diversionary route and features diverted express and freight traffic that would normally be handled by the main line either through Beaconsfield on the Great Western/Great Central joint line or via the Great Western Main Line via Didcot and Oxford.
As such a wide variety of motive power can be seen covering all the major Western Region classes that could be seen at the time with the odd visitor from other regions occasionally appearing on special workings, mainly to serve river cruises that were popular at the time from Windsor and Marlow.
