Layout: Elmfield, Western, 1950s

Published 5 September 2017, 15:30

Elmfield represents a fictional rundown and neglected Black Country station location during the 1960s.

Owned by Dave Westwood, the layout depicts the station and exchange sidings prior to the Beeching axe which removed passenger services in 1964.

Measuring 8ft x 18in, this fascinating 'N' gauge layout is analogue controlled, with locomotives and rolling stock from the Dapol, Graham Farish and Peco ranges - much of which has been fitted with magnetic couplings for realistic shunting and uncoupling.

Elmfield featured in HM122.
